ACCFF is a “one of its kind organization” in Canada that offers financial services to producers by providing services that resolve problems. Each member of the Board of Directors is a farmer who represents one of the many member commodity boards or associations. The expertise of ACCFF is built upon experience gained in offering loans, producer credit review, managing large loan accounts, meeting government loan guarantee parameters and collection of loan repayments.

The main loan offering is the “Production Insurance based” Commodity Loan Program (CLP), which is a provincial (Ontario) sponsored loan program. ACCFF is also a Canadian administrator on behalf of the federal government for the Advance Payments Program (APP) for crops, livestock, greenhouse vegetable and greenhouse cut flowers & potted plant producers.

In offering loan services that meet the needs of producers, ACCFF launched ACC FARMS (Farm Associated Risk Management Services Corporation) in March of 2004. Based on the concept of bulk borrowing, ACC FARMS provided low-cost loans to Canadian producers who wished to deposit funds to participate in the federal government AgriStability program.

As a financing solution for farmers, ACC FARMS provided a AgriStability loan program to Canadian farmers wishing to fund their AgriStability accounts without impacting on already established credit facilities or cash flow. When the AgriStability deposit was no longer required, ACC FARMS closed the loan by applying the deposit to the loan. ACC FARMS currently carries out a number of business development projects for organizations in order to improve competitiveness and financial opportunities for producers.
